The objects of friends of Milkhope are:
1. For the public benefit to promote the education (including social
and physical training) of young people, in particular school pupils
in Northumberland and surrounding counties
2. To help young people in Northumberland and surrounding
counties, especially but not exclusively through leisure time
activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to
full maturity as individuals and members of society.
3. To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Northumberland
and surrounding counties and the surrounding area the provision
of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of
individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their
youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social
and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the
interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the
Condition of life of the said inhabitants

Continued increase in the number of young people and
members of the local community who have taken part in
a residential experience.

Continued increase in the number of Astley CHS staff
and students using the facility.

Increased number of subsidised places offered to Pupil
Premium students at Astley CHS to enable them to
participate in residential experiences.

Significant improvement in facilities both indoor and
outdoor. Solar panels, new batteries, new wood store,
refurb of generator byre.

Gaining a stable financial footing to include contingency
funding in the event of unexpected emergency spending
which may be required.

Improved links with a variety of local groups.

Milkhope was temporarily closed due to lockdown 23
March 2020 and access has been very limited until
March 2021.
