Palestine Play Projects Trustee report for 2025
Trustees’ Annual Report: 1 January – 31 December 2025
1 Context
Throughout 2025 the humanitarian situation in Palestine continued to deteriorate. The war in Gaza and heightened movement restrictions in the West Bank curtailed everyday life and placed unprecedented demands on organisations working with children. These conditions framed both our fundraising environment and our programme delivery.
In 2025, in recognition of our inability to build playgrounds given the uncertainties around the war and the political situation elsewhere in Palestine, the decision was taken to change the name of the charity from Playgrounds for Palestine (UK) to Palestine Play Projects. This has been o�icially accepted by the Charity Commission within the UK. Other than the name change, no changes were made to the charity governing document.
2 Income for 2025

Total income recognised in 2025 accounts: £47,679
Income was considerably higher than in 2024 as many supporters responded positively given the publicity about the war and the evident deprivation across Palestine.

5 Looking Ahead (2026)

Continue working with our partners in Gaza (CFTA and Child Smile), subject to security conditions and funding, helping to ensure we reach as many children as possible.

Broaden our reach through other partners in East Jerusalem or the West Bank (e.g. Maada Centre and the Holy Land Trust).

Continue to expand awareness of our charity through increased social media presence and visibility through articles and conferences, as appropriate.

Continue to seek others who can support the work of our charity, especially patrons.
