Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
To advance the education of the public by providing for the educational needs of students from Ilavalai and neighbouring villages such as Pandertherupu, Sillai, Mathagal in Sri Lanka by assisting in the provision of facilities, equipment, premises and other items for St. Henry’s College (SHC) which would not otherwise be provided out of statuary funds.
To relieve the needs of orphans, underprivileged and Physically handicapped people in particular those who come from war torn part of Northern Province and Eastern Province including but not exclusively by providing food and maintenance to St. Anne’s Church in Ilavalai, Sri Lanka

Academy for Enterprise Education at Ilavalai January 2022 Providing vocational education such as English Language, Sinhala Language and IT for the under privileged pupils aged between 16 and 20 years old living in Ilavalai and surrounding villages. Provided £1,750 funding to pay salaries to the specialist teachers including administration cost. Classes are conducted in one weekday afternoon and on every Saturdays 2. Ilavalai Roman Catholic Tamil Junior School April 2022 Provide salary for a specialist teachers to teach computer studies to the pupils (£112). Replace existing computer with new computers and monitors (£1150). This funding of £1,262 was funded through St. Anne’s Church Ilavalai 3. Ilavalai Preschool Nurseries March 2022 Provide additional funding to twenty teachers in ten Preschool Nurseries in Ilavalai and surrounding villages. Total funding is £1,120 to supplement the education authority funding. 4. Academy for Enterprise Education at Pandatherupu November 2022 Providing vocational education such as English Language, Sinhala Language and IT for the under privileged pupils aged between 16 and 20 years old living in Pandatherupu and surrounding villages. Provided £2,534 funding to pay for furniture, refurbishment works, opening Ceremony, and staff salaries to the specialist teachers including administration cost. Classes are conducted in one weekday afternoon and on every Saturdays |
