Zero Carbon North Somerset Trustee Report - 2022
Dear Supporters and Stakeholders,
I am pleased to present the Trustee Report for Zero Carbon North Somerset for the year 1st January 2022 - 31st December 2022. We are committed to the mission of our organisation, which is to enable North Somerset to move towards net zero by supporting environmental and climate focused community groups.
Financial Overview:
Thanks to funding grants our financial capacity has grown. In 2022, we received £7615.00 in donations and grants. These funds were allocated as follows:

£333.49 was used for; website expenses, directly supporting our environmental initiatives.

£96.00 was dedicated to administrative costs, ensuring the efficient operation of our charity.

£2251.28 was invested in the home energy taskforce initiative.
Program Highlights:
Throughout 2022, we achieved several significant milestones:

Creation of website and liaison with various community groups and stakeholders.

Creation of home energy taskforce and associated work.
Challenges and Future Plans:
While we celebrate our successes, we also acknowledge the challenges we face:

Limited resources (both volunteering and staffing) to carry out the growth of membership – next year we plan to grow on existing volunteer base by reaching out to organisations and individuals, and seeking funding for a paid member of staff to support member growth and administration.

National and central government challenges - in the coming year, we will expand our advocacy efforts to promote sustainable policies and engage with policymakers at both a local and national level.
