Section C Objectives and Activities 2024 - 2025 report : Bitterne Manor Community Association Charitable Incorporated Organisation (BMCA CIO) The Organisation is still recovering from poor hiring options where we only had two hire bookings over the past 4 years. The primary long-term hirer Parent Support Link (PSL) is still in place and is stable in their business, so funding for day-to-day expenses is not an issue. We are still looking for regular bookings during evenings or weekends and we are exploring options within the local community. Our social media has had a makeover in 2025 and whilst there have been enquiries, no bookings have been sealed. Bitterne Manor Community Centre (BMCC) The building continues to require allot of attention, particularly in compliance to Fire regulations. Our maintainer is ensuring our continued compliance but at significant expense. This is hoped to reduce I the coming year. PSL have offered to help out with general maintenance using their own FM provider, and we have accepted their offer. A report in outstanding issues will be reviewed in early 2026, with fund raising between us to complete the works.

Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main The main achievement during 2024-2025 is to ensure the hall and offices achievements of the charity are in a fit state of operation to allow the key organisation to operate and during the year support the local community. We installed a proper hot water system to feed all kitchens and toilets on both floors which was funded from the CoOp community funding project. Parent Support Link have asked to have a bigger role in the day to day running of the site with extra hire of hall and grounds as part of the deal. BMCC are grateful for their assistance as it takes pressure off the team. We have installed a solar – sim CCTV camera to secure the facilities and use mobile networking to provide internet facilities.

Section E Financial review Brief statement of the BMCA CIO has a reserve account, which is to be used to hold such funds charity’s policy on reserves as required to facilitate major repairs and minor works projects. BMCA CIO has lifted the sets the cap on total funding reserves to be from £5k to £20k at any one time.

Details of any funds materially None in deficit

Further financial review details (Optional information)

You may choose to include additional information, where relevant about:

BMCA CIO principal source of funding is from hire of the facilities and grounds under its control, Parent Support Link is the current long-term hirer.

The hall hire from the community has been very weak with overall funding coming from only polling station rent in 2024-2025.

Income is down but so is expenditure so there is a small positive balance on the P&L
