THE ADPH seeks to improve and protect the health of the population through collating and presenting the views of Directors of Public Health (DsPH); advising on public health policy and legislation at a local, regional, national and international level; facilitating a support network for DsPH; and providing opportunities for DsPH to develop professional practice.

Objects: To Protect And Improve Public Health For The Public Benefit By In Particular But Not Exclusively By All Of Any Of The Following;a. Facilitating A Support Network For Directors Of Public Health To Share Ideas And Good Practice And Support Problem-Solving;b. Providing Opportunities For Directors Of Public Health To Develop Professional Practice.c. Collating And Presenting The Views Of Directors Of Public Health On Public Health Policy To Stakeholders;d. Advising On Public Health Policy And Legislation At A Local, Regional, National And International Level.
