Para 1.17 and 1.19	During this year we were able to restart our medical electives which involved 6 students from Newcastle University attending Kathmandu for a period of 4-8 weeks. They attended calls with the EMTs and undertook the following projects: - Interviews with staff members of NAS and subsequently relaying information to stakeholders - Creation of an advertising campaign for NAS to increase calls. - Creation of a question pathway for call handlers - Observational project with EMTs for future training - Purchasing an AED for the NAS

The primary aim of this year was to restart our electives so that our connection with Nepal could be re-established. This was a highly successful activity that led to a lot of locally relevant information being generated for the Nepal Ambulance Service.
