Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Given the COVID pandemic, the charity
has had its operations suspended given
prevention of travel to Nepal halting our
medical electives. It was decided at a
meeting to aid in purchasing reusable PPE
for the Emergency Medical Technicians to
use in Nepal. This provided them with a
high level of protection to prevent infection,
reducing burden of disease on the workers.
This had the additional benefit of reducing
the number of sick hours if there was an
infection.
The ongoing work of the Nepal Ambulance
Service has led to local funding in
Kathmandu and the spreading of the
organisation cross Nepal.
