Objectives and activities

Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public beneft, in particular, the activities, projects or services identifed in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	Christian religious activities, welfare of members, hosting gospel night of songs, bible teaching programs for emotional/psychosocial development of members of the ministry and the local Communities in which we worship. Over the period of the pandemic, we adjusted our services which were moved to zoom to maintain social distancing and comply with the restrictions in place. Face to face services have been re-started on Sundays. However, we retained the online services during the week.
Statement confrming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public beneft	Para 1.18	We are aware of the guidance on public beneft and have taken this into account when making decisions on church programs. Special community- oriented programs such as Our International Day, the Ladies Retreat which attracted women from a variety of backgrounds, the night of prayer and refection which happens once a month have been well

fellowship activities, Men’s
fellowship in
Manchester, the teenage choir and
youth retreat
which is developing further.

Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.

This year has been a year of great achievements but also challenging due to the pandemic and personal loss in our church community. We lost our senior pastor (Pastor Friday Adejo) after a brief period of illness.

Despite this, God has remained faithful to his course in our hands. We have had a number of new visits, with the online services continuing to prove very popular as people from various countries are able to join. As a charity, our international service that celebrates the diversity of our community and the membership has continued to attract new visitors; the event was hugely successful. Activities involved prayers. Worship/ praise through songs, recitations and poetry from a very diverse milieu of social, geographical and ethnic backgrounds. The event created a rich atmosphere for spiritual, cultural and social exchange which all that attended enjoyed.

As the pandemic eased and we became accustomed to the new normal, our key focus has been to provide emotional, spiritual, psychological and practical support to our members and the wider public as we continued to grapple with the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Our online services have been a huge success attracting people from all works of life from various parts of the world who reported that they felt spiritually, emotionally and psychologically empowered through the ministration of the word as well the practical support given in some cases. Our services and outreaches incorporate bible teaching sessions, songs/ worship sessions and corporate prayer sessions. Participants have continued to be both socially, emotionally empowered and spiritually energized. Unlike in previous years (prepandemic), the church did not hold a community barbecue in first week of August. However, continued to create an opportunity for dialogue, refreshment and understanding with people from the local Community through our online services and also our face to face Sunday services. We continue to be financially, spiritually supportive of members in need including where there has been bereavement.

Financial review

	Review of the charity’s fnancial position at the end of the period	Para 1.21	Total receipts of unrestricted funds for the period was £15,874 of which £3,692 was the expenditure on things like transport to the diferent church organized programs(before restrictions were introduced), welfare of church members in need (as well as dealing with bereavement and burials).
