Crawshay's Welsh Rugby Club CIO Report of the Trustees for the Year Ended 31 August 2025 ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE (CHAIRMAN'S STATMENTI Senlor Team The Senlor Team played 5 mat¢he8 during Ihis period of whlch the hlghllghl was a hugeiy enjoyable tour to Edinburgh where we played Currie RFC who have h8d a su¢cessful season In the S¢oltSsh Premiership dlvislon. We lost 40-21. We played against Nowport RFC IL 55-191 and Carmarthen Qulns RFC IW 39-291 who were elebraling thelr 150th Annlv8rsary. Both teams are In the new Super Cymru League, In the Autumn we again played Oxford and Cambridge Unlverslty. Against Oxford we wer8 able lo much slronger team than usual due to 8vailabillty of players but lost both matches. Matthew Jacobs IAberystwyth} beal D81 Rees, word having played 49 matches for the club, many as captain. Youlh Team Th8 team play8d Ihelr IraiJilion81 matches 8galNst ChTlSt College Brecon and Llandovery. We drew for the second y8ar running against BreGon bul lost to Llandovery. We were unable lo arrange flxtures ag81n8t Monmouth School and the Lambs but won a most entertaining game against the We18h Independ8nt Schools who had not played a match for many years. The season brought 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss Christ Collegg Brecon Drew 31-31 Llandovery College Lost 14-5 Welsh Ind8pendenl Schools Won 41-19 Soclal Sadly, the Annual Dlnner was cancelled due lo lack of support bul the hlghllght of the year was the long overdue re-union of over 100 former play8rs who mot al Ihg Cardiff Arms Park on the day of the Bristol v Bath match at the Prlndpallly Sladlum. A number of former players sned up lo become Vlce Presldenls. The 3 pre-malch lunches al Cardiff Tennis Club proved very popular a8 dld the Summer Lunch al the Cardiff & County Club. The Golf Day Is taking place In September 2025.

We have arranged rixtures agalnst Blaina RFC and Cardlff RFC. Pontyprldd and Merthyr are other possibilities. We have been Invlled to play the Czech national team In Prague In November 2026 as part of thelr Centenary celebratlons. AS usual wg p18n lo play Oxford and cambridge Universilios before Christmas. Youth Team We are looking foNgrd to playing our Ir8dltlonal fixtures against Monmouth, Chrlst College Brecon and Llandovery and resuming our fixture against the Lambs. London Welsh 18 k8en lo play us and hope we can arrange a mutually convenient date, We have been trylng to arrange a tour for the Youth team in recent years wllhout SUCC8s$ and hope to re8urre¢t a tour in 2026. social Pre match lunches al Cardiff Tennis Club wère popular but numbers were Ilmlled.
