During the period 1[st] April 2024 to 31[st] March 2025, the Trustees concentrated on reviewing the mission of the charity in the context of the current policy and economic environment.
The primary goal of the Unforgettable Foundation is to "create a world where people with dementia live the best life possible".
The Trustees intended to award two grants:
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
-
(i) £17,000 to Dementia Publishing Ltd, a Community Benefit Society responsible for the UK Dementia Congress, UK Dementia Congress and Journal of Dementia.
-
(ii) £15,000 to Dementia Pathfinders CIC, a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides learning opportunities and resources for people with dementia, their families and those working in caring roles.
The Trustees approached Barclays Bank to arrange the release of funds from a dormant account. This took some months, which delayed the distribution of the two grants. The process necessitated opening a new bank account. This was achieved and in 2025/26 it is expected that monies will be transferred to the two beneficiary organisations.
The Trustees are exploring opportunities for collaboration with organisations and individuals working in dementia care.
A priority is to create a framework for engaging with people with lived experience of dementia to inform and contribute to the charity’s future work.

You may choose to include further statements, where relevant, about:
-
policy on grantmaking;
-
