The Charity supports a number of projeds for the benefit of the people of Llangynwyd, and the sumunding area, and some of the publlc benefils of these projects a detailed below. The principle activity of the Charity in the year under review was to further or benefit the residents of Llangynwyd and the surrounding areas, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residenls and other agenL?es, sectors and service providers in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. The Charity maintains a village hall for the benefil of the lorAI residents and the surrounding area. Summary of the maln actlvities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include wlthln this sectlon the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance Issued by the Charity Comm¢ssion on public benefit) The village hall has a small wffee shop facality which remains used only by groups accessing the hall such as the parent & toddler group and Wl. 2024-25 was another year of solid growth for the Association. The hall hosts regular sessions six days a week with capacity on Saturdays and Sunday momings to enable private bookings such as birthday parties and baby showers to take place. In line with the previous financial year, we have once again managed to have a net income ofjust over £2,000 results'ng in a further increase of our reserves to just over £33.CQO. The Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in managing the activities of the charity. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charlty during the year The Village Hall continues to thrive as a vibrant hub of community life, with activities taking place six days a week. From long-standing favourites like the hvice-weekly Parent & Toddler group and the ever- popular monlhly Film Club- both supported by the Llangynwyd Community Association {LCA) - to independent hirers offering Pilates sessions and Sunday martial arts classes, the hall is a hive of activity. Despile the busy schedule, the hall remains a welcoming space for special (rcasions. Birthday parties, baby showers, and other family celebrations are regularly hosted, adding to the hall's reputation as place where memories are made. Throughout the year, we've also opened our doors to community engagement events, supporting both the Community Ci)uncil and developers involved in major energy infrastructure projects. At the heart of it all is the LCA'S wsion: to create a true cornmunity hub in the centre of the village. The diverse range of events ensures that everyone - regardless of age or bad(gfound - can find something meaningful at the hall. The Llangynwyd Lucky Draw conlinues to be a cherished initiative, not only raising valuable funds for the hall's upkeep but also strengthening the community's connection to the space. Every ticket sold is a small act of supp¢)rt. with the added excitement of a >tentIal cash prize. As we reflect on another successful year. we look ahead to 2025126 with optimism and ambition. With the dedication of our small but passionate team of volunteers and the unwavering support of our local community, we're confident that the Village Hall will continue to grow as a sustainable. inclusive, and much-loved gathering place for Llangynwyd and beyond.
