The Charity supports a number of projects for the benefit of the people of Llangynwyd, and the surrounding area, and some of the public benefits of these projects are detailed below. The principle aclivity of the Charity in the year under review was to further or benefit the residents of Llangynwyd and the surrounding areas, without distinction of gender. sexual orientation. race or of political, religious or other opinions by assoaating together the said residents and other agenctes. sectors and service providers in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure lime occupation with the objective of improving the ndItionS of life for the residents. The village hall has a small ffee shop facility which remains used only by groups accessing the hall such as the parent & loddler group and Wl. It remains our hope that this might be re-opened lo the general public on a regular basis at some point in time should we be able to recruit sufficientty number of qualffied volunteers. 202&24 was another year of solid, rf not spectacular, growth at the hall. The hall hosts sessions seven days a week with capacity on weekends lo enable paty event bookings to take pla. In line with the previous finan¢ial year. we have once a9ain managed to have a net incoffle of just under £5CXQ ultIng in a further increase of our reserves to just over £310IXI. The Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidanGe on public benefit in managing the activities of the charity. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achlevements of the charlty during the yèar Following the impact Caused by the covid pandemic in previous years il is with relief that this reKM)rt relates to what Gould be described as a normal year at the hall. There are sessions at the hall on seven days a week. These are a mix of groups thatfall under the oversight of the LCA such as the twice-weekly parent & toddler group and the monthly film club through to outside operates hiring the hall for weekly Pilates and martial arts dasses. DesFHte the packed weekly schedule there is still an opportunity to host birthday parties, baby showers and other family-focused celebration events. The aim of being a community hub in the centre of the Village is a key aspiration for the Llangynwyd Community Association. The range of events al the hall Iruly enable all local residents regardless of age or gender to be ate to access the building. The Llangynwyd Lucky Draw continues to bring in a useful source of funds to the hall. This also allows local residents to feel a connection with the building as they know they are contributing a small afflount towards its upkeep in exthange for the possibility of a small cash prize. As another successful year ends, we Icok forward with optimism that 2024-25 will bè another year of grovrth at the Village Hall. With the dedication of a small number of volunteers and the continued support of the Iwal community, we believe that we can continue to provide an economically viable community hub for Ihe residents of the village, and beyond.
