Summary ofthe main achievements ofthe charity during the year |
This financial year was Llangynwyd Community Association's first complete year since 2018-19where activities were not severely affected by the Welsh Government measures introduced to seek to control the spread ofthe covid-19 virus. |
|---|---|---|---|
| The year saw a return to the 'new normal' as activities at the hall began | |||
| to resume and there was an increase in the number ofenquiries for |
| private hire events such as birthday parties and baby showers. |
| We were pleased that the relaxion ofrestrictions meant that it was now |
| felt that it was safe for volunteers to conduct house-to-house collections |
| for the Lucky Draw. This bought in some additional income into the Lucky |
| Draw funds to supplement the regular income from standing order |
| entries. Whilst we will continue the process ofasking ticket holders to | |||
| consider switching to paying a monthly or annual standing order, we |
| understand that there will be some people who will prefer paying by cash. |
| As 2022-23 ends, we look forward with optimism that 2023-24 will be |
| another successful year as the Llangynwyd Community Association can, |
| with the continued support ofthe local community, provide an |
| economically viable community hub for the residents ofthe village, and |
| beyond. |
