An initial financial contribution would be paid once (and for a limited number of times) to a person who has just embraced the faith to support them in the financial strains that their new circumstances bring about in his/her life until he/she regains stability or can stand on his/her own feet financially.

Due to the limited resources our charity does not consider necessary to adopt a policy programme related to investment.

All the activities undertaken by this CIO are performed by the valuable first-hand contributions of trustees and volunteers in terms of giving up their valuable time to pursue our charity's objectives.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

We relaunched our newly designed website as the previous one became obsolete. It was sourced to a web-designer outside from the organisation. However, it has proven not to be very user friendly and flexible, as we can’t modify is basic structure and we struggle with communicating our demands to a web-designer based abroad.

One-to-one counselling has become a service we provide to New Muslims who are struggling to adapt to their new lifestyle. This is always in high demand. Our classes have expanded.

We produced more teaching material to enhance our services to new Muslims.

We raised more awareness in social media platforms about our charity’s services. As a result our standing orders increased from a wider base of donors.

After we have refurbished our rented premises, Food Collection has not been a priority project due to our charity’s lack of space to store donated items.

Section E Financial review

Our charity was established in 2015 and counts with limited funds. There Brief statement of the has not been a need for a policy on reserves due to its mere size. charity’s policy on reserves However, the public contributions which are being received are being saved in order to allow our CIO to move from rented accommodation to our own premises to increase our services and serve the public better and in a more suited fit-for-purpose premises and location.

Further financial review details (Optional information)

You may choose to include additional information, where relevant about:

The charity's funding relies solely on public funds for its activities. It runs strictly by volunteers at the moment. There has been no need to pay or hire anyone to-date in order to fulfil the charities' objectives. We are still a small charity so there is no need for an investment policy.

Section F Other optional information

Future projects:

• To design a new website that is more practical to work with and user friendly, and to be designed locally.

• We intend to continue providing reliable Islamic literature to Muslim prisoners in the prison estate throughout the whole of UK which would contribute to their reducing re-offending and also serve as a tool of deradicalization.

• To increase the frequency of food collections to support the local charities, other organisations and public institutions that look after the local people living in different types of crises, void of resources to look after their own subsistence needs.

• To explore the possibility of purchasing a property for permanent use, rather than renting. The new premises will allow us to expand our services.
