Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The promotion of the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and charitable organisations that are carrying out purposes that are exclusively charitable according to the laws of England and Wales by the provision of a translation service to enable them to meet their purposes.
The main activities undertaken for the public benefit have been to offer advice and support to charities needing language services and supporting volunteer translation projects wherever possible.
We confirm that all trustees have regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

Summary of the main The key achievement in this financial year has been to provide advice achievements of the charity and support following 46 requests for language support from charitable during the year organisations. Volunteers joined together for the ‘Stay at Home’ campaign to translate this message into as many languages as possible at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. 3 volunteer projects were completed during this time with several ongoing. 202 new volunteers joined the Charity Translators network during this time.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
The charity’s policy on reserves has been determined by the low cost model adopted to carry out its charitable purpose. The policy is to accrue reserves to meet the costs of continuing website managing, hosting and domain names. Charity Translators relies on volunteer support within an online environment to carry out its activities.
