Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document: The charity works for the public benefit having as its objects:

(1) Reduced isolation of rural community .

(2) To improve the parish of Toft Newton to encourage the goodwill and evolvement of the wider community to foster community spirit and encourage civic pride

(3) To provide a village hall for use by all residents of the parish

(4) Increased sense of community well-being through improved access to existing and new activities, services and events .
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects:
The Charity continued to work with patrons on providing the best environment to meet our objectives.
We continued to keep fees payable the same as last year.
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year:
Energy costs because a huge issue with the Charity during this year. We had to close for 2 weeks due to these costs while we transferred to a new supplier.
Brief statement of the charities policy on reserves:
We continued to monitor costs and income very closely.

We don’t have an external monitoring or audit as our small size didn’t warrant it. Our accounts are collated by a volunteer how has accounting experience. We have has this arrangement in place since we set up the Village Hall Charity in 2016.
