On 6 July 2015 the charity re-registered os a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The objects of the CIO are: To further or benefit the resldents of Newton Aycliffe and District and the surrounding neighbourhood. wilhout distinction of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability. political or religious beliefs, or other beliefs or opinions. by associating together the said residents and local authorities, voluntory ond olhef organisations in a common effort lo advance the education of young people and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure lime occupation wilh the objective of improving the conditions of life for the young people and residents in the area of beneflt. In furtherance of Ihese objects but not otherwise. the Truslees shall have power: To eslablish or secure the establishment of Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Cenlre herein after called NAYCC to maintain ond manage or cooperate wilh any statulory authority in the maintenance and managemenl of such a centre for activilies promoted by the charily in the furtherance ol Ihe above objects. On I l August 2015, all assets were transferred to the new charity number 1162535 and become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Centre Key Noteable5 Pleased lo announce that this financial year saw the relurn of pre-covid numbers and linally saw our room occvponcy exceed our set target of 75%180.1 %). New Customers to NAYCC included. Muay Thai. Durham County Durham Youth Justice Service & Aclive Fulure Sunderfand CIC. NAYCC started community based pop vp events where the local community could sell Iheir wores- all hand crafted. Communily focussed groups lackling sociol isolation with help from Point North NAYCC started a knilters & Stllchers group. as part of Ihe Warm Space initiative. We celebraled the building's 201h birthdoy. and also chief executive's 10 year anniversary as a member of staff al the Centre. Newton Aycliffe hod a Millionoire Street winners on the People's Postcode Lottery, as part of their Poslcode Community Trust we were awarded £25. OCQ splil over two yeois and we advised we would use the funds to pay for a third member of our team. We would olso like to Ihonk Greol Aycliffe & Middrisge Portnership for their funding lo help wilh the installation of new loilets throvghouil the Centre. Foolfall..
