South Downs Gospel Hall Trust Public Benefit Report 202412025 The purpose ofthis report isto showhowthe South Downs Gospel HallTrust community engage in acts of public benefitforthe wider community. The Hymouth 8rethren were establishecf in 1828 when John Nelson Darby broke with the established Church in Dublin. Darby and others formed a fellowship based on the strict observance of Christian teachings as set out in the Holy Scriptures. Darby came to Hymouth in the early 1830s. and the congregation grew rapidly. Early publications were pro(Juced in Plymouth and distributed to other congregations of followers throughout the globe. Introduction There are over 18.000 Plymouth Brethren members in the UK. spread across 86 locations. There have been Brethren meeting halls in the Haslemere area since 1906. The South Downs Gospel HallTrustwa$formed on 14 October2005forthecarryingon the service of God, incluijing the celebration of the Lord's Supper. Gospel Preachings, Bible Readings and addresses on the Word ot God and other meetings of a Chrisrian religious character according to the injunctions contained in the Holy Scriptures and the tenets an¢Y piactices of those Christians forming a worldwide fellowship known as Plymouth Brethren. We seek to highlight the availability of Jesus to all mankind as having personally proved the tangible benefit and immense improvement believing in Jesus brings. Currently the main chosen location is on High Street, Haslemere. outside the former HSBC Bank building. Street preachings have been held here for many years. The aim of the street preaching is not to recruit additional members for the Plymouth Brethren but to present eternal salvation as available to all men by tsith in Jesus Christ and His blood and His work of atonement. Rapid Relief Team IRRTI ancl contribute financially to local causes. At South Downs Gospel Hall Trust. we actively seek opportunities to support our local community from litter pickingto donating to local charities. Public Benetit activities during 2024125 A monthly standing order of £25 to the Headley Food Bank. £500 donated to newweathervane for a localchurch. Members of the congregation provided ¢heese and wine at the annual Grayshott Parish Assembly. Litter pick in Grayshottvillage which communitymembersjoined in. and also helped RRT provide drinks and snacks to villagers who participated. see picture below.
