Activities
The Summerhill Community Centre is run by the Summerhill Community Association, a group of volunteers. The Centre serves the people of East Coseley in the West Midlands by organising fund-raising events, running community activities such as coffee mornings, snooker club and hiring the Centre out for meetings, weekly events and classes, e.g. art classes.
Objects: The Objects Of The Association Are To:(a) Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The Area Of Benefit Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Nationality, Age, Disability, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions, By Associating Together The Said Inhabitants And The Statutory Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants;(b) Establish, Or Secure The Establishment, Of A Community Centre (Hereinafter Called "The Centre") And To Maintain And Manage The Same (Whether Alone Or In Co-Operation With Any Statutory Authority Or Other Person Or Body) In Furtherance Of The Above Objects;(c)promote Such Other Charitable Purposes As May From Time To Time Be Determined. The Association Shall Be Non-Party In Politics And Non-Sectarian In Religion. The Area Ofbenefit Shall Be Summerhill And The Neighbourhood Together Defined By The Wolverhampton And Sandwell Borough Boundaries And The A4123 Birmingham New Road.
