The charity's Trustees have also worked closely with museums and other organisations to assist with documentation and public enquiries. Museums now send enquiries directly to us to respond to |
| and we have been working with museums not just in the UK but |
| worldwide. Museum staff continue to expand their knowledge of |
| horse-drawn carriages within the collections under their care. The |
| Carriage Foundation has assisted in the process ofenhancing the |
| collection at Arlington Court with the addition ofthree carriages from |
| other museums and has been advising on interpretation. |
| Despite the impact ofCovid-19 and the cancellation ofevents, |
| where the Carriage Foundation would normally have had a |
| promotional stand, subsciiptions have increased slightly on the |
| previous year, particularly from our international followers. This has |
| been achieved through the Carriages of Britain website and the |
| dedicated Facebook page |
| htt s://www facebook. com/thecarria efoundation/ as well as |
| networking with people from other countries who are taking an |
| active interest in the work ofthe Charity and helping to achieve its |
| educational outreach aims. |
| The Carriage Foundation has published its first book 'The A to Z of |
| Carriages'. Response has been excellent with copies being posted |
| across the globe and placed in major libraries, including the world- |
| renowned Hermitage, Imperial Carriage Museum Vienna, the |
| National Library of Ireland and the Carriage Association ofAmerica. |
