Without the dedicated support of these volunteers the club would not run or offer activities. Volunteers fill all the trustee positions. offer coaching and courses. deliver competitions and support paddlers. Contribution made by volunteers Many of the club paddlers also help with peer Coaching and leading. and with voluntary activities for the club. Volunteers also lake responsibility for the maintenance of club equipmenl. and the Club ¢ompound.
Achievements and Performance During the year the club widened the offer that was made to paddlers and ensured Ihal safety training was at the core of what was offered. Summary of the main achievements of the charity. As more people tske up paddling the clLJb sees itself having identifying the diffèrence the a key role in offering education and basic skills training to charity s work has made lo all who might want lo start paddling. the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits lo society as a whote. Our Saturday morning sessions are open to anyone, and temporary membership is available giving them the opportunity lo access the sessions and try out paddling in a safe environment. We are delivering the NGB basic safety courses encouraging paddlers lo take responsibility for their own safety out on the water. and to know how to deal with a capsize and getting back into, or onto their craft. Our Slalom and Freestyle sections have been supporting paddlers lo improve their skills and enter competitions, and in slalom paddlers have been moving through the divisKsns.
