The choir also sang a dedication service a Grasmere church in October 23 and an Evensong service at Kendal Parish Church in May 24 as part of our ongoing programme to support the performance of church music in local parish churches in Cumbria. As part of our community engagement activities the choir took part in carol singing for the residents of a local charity and participated in the annual Keswick Christmas Tree Festival; and had a stall at the annual summer fete at St John’s Keswick. 50% of the proceeds from the stall donated to St John’s church. The retiring collection at the Christmas Concert raised £640 which was donated to 2 local food banks. |
