The presence of the Village Hall enhances the quality of life of the inhabitants of the parish.
Section D Achievements and performance Along with our whole community Ihe Trustees were gready saddened by the death this year of our former Chaimian George Preston. His commrtment, energy and detemiination made a massive contrilOn to the Village Hall, as well as to many other ganisations in the village. Sumrnary of the main achievernents of the charity during the year Truslees have worked hard cffl the last of the four "Completing the Job- developrnenl targets 1denlrfd in October 2019, the task of formifVJ a fumiture store and enlarging and refitting the kitchen. Firstly the fumiture store is nearly compleled. Secondly the design of the future kitchen is now much more firmly decNJed. Trustees appreciate the great assisiance from other members of our community in this. Fund-raisirKJ for the kitchen work has stepped up this year, wrth a Grand Quiz and Raffle raising neady £800. Villagers have enjoyed three amazing Artsreach shows this year: There were circus skills and illusions from Bash Street Theatre's "Bathing BuUers-. beautiful music and singing from Vri and then creativty and wit in Near-Ta Theatre's prison comedy 'Christmas. Time.- Double Act brought another fabulous show to the village, the wortd rKemiere of "Secret Island". There were also screenings of films during the Purt)eck Film Festival. Monlhly-soup 'n PLKI" lunches have continued to be a very popular additson to CLJnmunity lrfe.
