The objects of Ihe CIO are to establish and run a village hall and to
promote for the benefit of the Inhabtiants of the Parish of Corfe
caS￿e ￿thout dists'nction of sex. sexual Orientation, age, disability,
nalionality, race or kK)litical, religious or olher opinions the provisi
of facilits'es for recreation or othèr leisure time occupation of
individuals have need of such facilities by reason of their
youth, age, infirmity or disablernent. financial hardship ￿ social and
economic circumslancts or for the public al large in the inlerests of
S￿la1 welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of lrfe
of the said inhabitants.

The Truslees have had regard to the guMJance issued by Ihe
Charity Commissh)n on public benefit.
Inhabitants of Corfe Caslle continue to ￿nefit from physical and
menlal aciNity le.g. badminlon and Putbeck Crafts), So￿al, moral
and intellectual development (e.g. Aquarius) and recreation and
artistic expression {e.g. Doub￿ Ad drama group, Artsreach events
etc.). The presence of the Village Hall enhances the quality of life
of the inhabitants of the parish.

Achievements and performance
Along with our whole community Ihe Trustees were gready
saddened by the death this year of our former Chaimian George
Preston. His commrtment, energy and detemiination made a
massive contri￿l￿On to the Village Hall, as well as to many other
ganisations in the village.

achievernents of the charity
during the year
Truslees have worked hard cffl the last of the four "Completing the
Job- developrnenl targets 1denlrf￿d in October 2019, the task of
formifVJ a fumiture store and enlarging and refitting the kitchen.
Firstly the fumiture store is nearly compleled. Secondly the design
of the future kitchen is now much more firmly decNJed. Trustees
appreciate the great assisiance from other members of our
community in this. Fund-raisirKJ for the kitchen work has stepped
up this year, wrth a Grand Quiz and Raffle raising neady £800.
Villagers have enjoyed three amazing Artsreach shows this year:
There were circus skills and illusions from Bash Street Theatre's
"Bathing BuUers-. beautiful music and singing from Vri and then
creativty and wit in Near-Ta Theatre's prison comedy 'Christmas.
Time.-
Double Act brought another fabulous show to the village, the wortd
rKemiere of "Secret Island". There were also screenings of
films during the Purt)eck Film Festival.
Monlhly-soup 'n PLKI" lunches have continued to be a very popular
additson to CLJnmunity lrfe.

During the year the a5set5 of the tharity rose to £37,603.24, an increase
of £8,363.43. These assets are rK>W shared between a"Cambridge and
Counties- nOt￿e savings acc(NJnt. a "Santander" oJrrent aCc￿jnI and
pety cash. During the year, the account held at"Nats"onwide" was closed
and the balance at-cambridge and coun￿5. transferred to an account
with a slighly lower interest rate with a shorter notice period.

have been riro-fenced to help fund the development of the kitchen.
In addl￿n to the donations Klentrfied above, a wwale donation was
rn￿e to fxilrtate the purithase of a Smart TV1£1.6001, this has
enhanc&J the exPer￿Ce of th8 varK￿5 user grcwps.
The in(x>me frC￿ th8 (wver5b)n of ￿ loft area to a storage facility in
previous year5 ha5 continued to help to fund fijrther developments such
as further improvements to the AV system for the benefit of aL￿lenCeS at
variiyjs perf0mlan￿s. Thus year tt also enabled £3,964 {plus voluntary
latour) to be spent on the creation of the fumibjre store which has made
the prepa[alK￿ a￿1 clear-up of the man hall venue a more efficient
proce5S.
