(a) The Parish Council may in its discretion appoint 2 charity trustees provided that the number of charity trustees appointed by the Parish Council shall never be a majority of the total number. Such trustees shall be known as “Council Appointed Trustees”.
(b) The existing charity trustees shall invite nominations for further charity trustees from local organisations or from within the local community. The existing charity trustees shall consider the nominations and appoint 3 charity trustees from them. Such trustees shall be known as “Community Nominated Trustees

Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The objects of the CIO are:
1) the provision and maintenance of a community centre for the use of the inhabitants of Hazlemere and the surrounding areas, including use for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants;
2) the provision of grants and funding to organisations and for projects which make an application to the CIO and which will apply the funds for exclusively charitable purposes in a way that benefits the community of Hazlemere and improves the

conditions of life for its inhabitants; and Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable.
The day to day management of the Memorial Hall (a community building),
together with the maintenance of the building. The granting of financial and other support, by way of charitable donation, to locally based not for profit organisations in accordance with the constitution. All Trustees are aware of the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
2020-2021. The Trustees continued to manage the building and supervise the hirers. We have continued to support local people and organisations with both financial donations and use of the building free of charge.
