It 18 a registered charity with Ihe Charily Commission. Appolntmont of Tru8ts88 The first Tru5tee8 were appolnled by John and Irene Hays. Subsequent Trustees are 6lecled by the member5 or co-opt8d by the Board of Trustees. Trustge5 must bo members of the charitablè company and on8 third of the Board of Tru8te8s must retire each year. A retirlng Trustee who 15 eligible rnay be reappointed. All Trustees were re-ele¢t8d to remain part of the Board of Trustees for the next year. Trustees regularly review the financial p081tion and results of the Charity and manage their funds appropriately. Misapproprlation of funds. Dame Irene Hay5 is the majorily shareholder in Hays Travel Limited. Hays Travel Limited is a major donor to th8 Foundation. The charity aim8 lo work with organisations Ihat support local people, to help Ihem achieve their potential and improve their quality of life.
