Structure and Governance
Reading Edge Africa is a charitable incorporated organisation governed under the foundation model constitution for a charitable incorporated organisation. Our registration number is 1161361 under the Charities Commission.
Reading Edge Africa is funded through private donations. The majority of fundraising activities are undertaken by the trustees, and a secured database of donors and patrons is kept up to date. Most donors are known to the trustees as personal connections. The volunteers undertake fundraising activities under the supervision of the trustees.

Management and Staffing
The day-to-day operation of the charity is overseen by the trustees, who work on behalf of the charity without receiving any remuneration.
The charity is managed by appointed trustees, who oversee the day-today operation, finances, and strategic issues of the charity.
Trustees do not receive any renumeration for their work.

THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES WE CONFIRM THE TRUSTEES HAVE HAD REGARD TO THE CHARITY COMMISSION’ S GUID- ANCE ON PUBLIC
Due to the inability of the charity to retain reliable associates in the target countries, there was no activity during the reporting period.
The Trustees have decided to wind down the activities of the charity in 2024.

OVERVIEW
Review of Financial Position at the End of Reporting Period
At the end of the reporting period the charity had an income of £285.39 and an expenditure of £0 . The funds carried forward was £2,900.77. All of the income was unrestricted funds from donations.
Plans for the Future
The Trustees will review the continued relevance of the charity considering the operating environment of our target countries.
