Structure and Governance

Reading Edge Africa is a charitable incorporated organisation governed under the foundation model constitution for a charitable incorporated organisation. Our registration number is 1161361 under the Charities Commission.

Reading Edge Africa is funded through private donations. The majority of fundraising activities are undertaken by the trustees, and a secured database of donors and patrons is kept up to date. Most donors are known to the trustees as personal connections. The volunteers undertake fundraising activities under the supervision of the trustees.

Management and Staffing

The day-to-day operation of the charity is overseen by the trustees, who work on behalf of the charity without receiving any remuneration.

The charity is managed by appointed trustees, who oversee the day-to- day operation, finances, and strategic issues of the charity.

Trustees do not receive any renumeration for their work.

Teacher Training in Liberia

Further Teacher training was carried out in the 1[st] quarter of the year but had to be concluded because of the fast spreading COVID19 pandemic.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic all activities scheduled for the were suspended.

OVERVIEW

Review of Financial Position at the End of Reporting Period

At the end of the reporting period the charity had an income of £1,962.07 and an expenditure of £0 , and funds carried forward of £1962.07. All of the income was unrestricted funds from donations.

Plans for the Future

As part of our forward planning, we are reviewing our fundraising strategies to ensure that we have all that is needed to. Trustees and members have pledged to raise more funds through personal donations and other contemporary fundraising sources.
