Th e CIO structure is set out in Standard Opera t ing Procedures and pu b lished on the website. www.redcypher.com A steering committee of up to 8 Trustees evaluate approve/deny for ch a rity proposals, initiatives an d projects, particularly those using charity fu n ds.

Red Cypher works alongside major military ch a rities as required.

A full up to date risk register is maintained and managed by the Vice Chairman. Other policies are reviewed and up d ated annually. An In v estment Policy was added in early 2021.

O n 23 June 2021 the CIO passed two Special R esolutions to amend the Constitution to specify the composition of Trust e es and to provide for the ap p ointment of up to 3 Associate Members:

  1. The Trustees of Red Cypher, resolve to add a new paragraph 10 (4) of the Constitution to read: “A mi n imum of 3 Trustees will be Veterans who have served with 3RHA a nd retired within the ranks from Gunner to Warrant Officer Class 1

  2. Under Paragraph 17 of the Constituti o n the Trustees agreed to create 3 Associate Members posts. Th e se will be ex ‐ officio posts for: (a) Chairman of Past & Present Me m bers; (b)Secretary of Past & Present Members; (c) Parade RSM. T he tenure for each Associate Member will be 2 years, or th e end of their role at paragraph 2 above, whichever comes earlier. The Associate Members shall not have voting rights.

T h e charity raises money through Give as You Earn Scheme and You may choose to include R e gular Monthly donations and one of donatio n s from both veteran and additional information, where serving community relevant about: T h e charity has supported both serving and p a st members through w e lfare and other grants. D u ring the period the Trustees decided to inve s t £40,000 within the Royal Ar t illery Charitable Fund as ring-fenced subset of the main fund. The fund is managed by Brewin Dolphin. The purpose o f this investment is to pr o vide a long term revenue stream to sustain the future charitable b e neficiaries of Red Cypher.

Although this is strictly outside the cu r rent reporting year, the Red Cypher Truste e s would like to congratulate our fellow Trustee Bob L odge on his admission to The Order of the B ritish Empire: He was appointed MBE (Member of The Ord e r of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Que e n Elizabeth ll in her Birthday Honours List 2022. This aw a rd is for his exemplary dedication and selfle s s service to Red Cypher and the Past & Present Members of 3 RHA.
