To start achieving some of thrs, the dwty is working a n17 concept to: 1. Dissuade the general publtc from purchasing o)uAterfertlfake products and items. 2. Educale the gener pubtic on the dangers of acquiring (x)unterfeitlfake products and items. 3. Infomi the general public on hcw they trw prot8ct themselves from becoming viclims of fraud. Wrth so many High Street shops closing down there isn't a shortage of potential sites to run The Fake Shop Prq&t. In essence. the tharity proposes to put back into use empty stores in towns and Cit$. ¥th the partiCipatn of k¢al trading standards. pollce, Focal aulhorities and other stake hoklers. and to fumish Ihem wlth basic shop frttings. On display the customer will find a vast as5ortrnt of itèms. but not ordinary rtems. Counterfert produ(#s will be on sh¢y4¥ as if they were for sale but instead of a price lag they will carry warnings. The wamings will help oonsumers disc¢)ver truths about counlerfeit products and consumer scarns. In and around the Shops the consumer will also be able to read story boards. for example, telling of how crlminals. profrt and reinvest pr¢)ceed8 of sales in further eJiminal activits"es, or about a seven year old child who was sadty killéd by a fake phone charger.
