Para 1.18 SWIM Cambodia continues to work for the
benefit of children and young people in The
Kingdom of Cambodia, through the delivery of
drowning prevention interventions.
The main drowning prevention activities
delivered are Water Safety, Safe Rescue and
CPR education delivered to children, young
people and adult caregivers in Cambodia.
SWIM Cambodia has complied with the duty to
have due regard to the commission's public
benefit guidance when exercising any powers
or duties, wherever relevant.

Para 1.20 SWIM Cambodia’s activities began again
post pandemic.
During the financial year, 2022-23, SWIM
Cambodia worked in partnership with
International NGO, Helpcode, for the delivery
of Water Safety, Safe Rescue and
Resuscitation education to 2,513 children and
young people and 140 adult caregivers,
through three teachers. SWIM Cambodia
provided technical support and refresher
training to Helpcode.
SWIM Cambodia trustees continued to work
on localisation developing a local board of
directors with a new Cambodian non-
governmental organisation called ‘Hile Teuk
Kampuchea (HTK). HTK were registered with
the Cambodian ministry of interior on 19th
September 2022. SWIM Cambodia are
supporting HTK with technical advisory
support, recruitment, training, and funding. It
is expected that SWIM Cambodia will
expand drowning prevention interventions,
with operational delivery by HTK.
