Expenditure amounted to some £83,000 (2023.. £38,000). At the year end the trust had a bank balance of just over £91,000 and liabilitie3 of £1,135 (2023: £1.056). The trust alms to maintain a minimum bank balance of £10,000 to cater ft)r unplanned c08ts, expenses and unforeseen opportunities to further Its objectives. From time to time the trustees wll reserve additlonal financial assets to build up funds for slgnificant events such as recordings, performances and concerts. A8 they did durlng the COVID pandemic the trustees continued to make wants to young musicians who have been typesetting and proof-reading muslcal scores of Stephen Dodgson'$ muslc, rather than accumulate needlessly large res•rv•s. Rlsk management: The trustee8 have examlned the major strategic, financial, buslne8s and operatvJnal risks which the charity faces and confim that systems have been established and measures adopted to minimise theye risks. The Treasurer reports on the charlty's financial status at each trustee8' meetlng and frequently monitors the charity's financial assets. The charity's financi81 controls were revlewed, updated 8nd approved by the trustees in March 2024.
