OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objectives and aims The airn of the Church is the advanc¢menl of the Cbristian faith by glorifying God and to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, who is th¢ Head of the Church wbich is His Body. Charitable activities Ebcnczer Evangelical Church continues to develop its central purpose for the advanrxm¢nt of th¢ Christian faith tbrough its range of activities. EbenezeT Evangeli¢al Church advan¢¢s th¢ Christian faith by engaging with its congregation and the wider community. Our volunteers To ¢nable the Church to undertake its charitable activiti¢s it relies heavily on voluntary help from church members and regular adherents. The Church wishes to thank its many volunteers for th¢ir d¢di¢at¢d support and servic¢. FINANCIAL REVIEW Financial Revlew The Stal¢m¢nt of Financial Activities for tbe Unrestricted fvnds for the year ended 31 D¢¢¢mb¢r 2024 shows th¢r¢ w&s a surplus of incom¢ ov¢r ¢xp¢nditur¢ amounting to £19,921 (2023- sury)lus of expenditure ov¢r in¢om¢ of £8.321). At 31 December 2024 unrestricted reserves stood at £73.384 (2023 £53,463) Printlpal fundlng sources Funds are primarily generated by the voluntary giving of members and adh¢r¢nts. This is achieved by bank transfers. a freewill offering box localed at the back of the main hall or cheques passed to the Treasurer. Some of thes¢ donations are eligible for Gift Aid to be claimed. Occasional gifts (restricted or otherwise) are received from those with a current or historical connection with the church. Oc¢asionally, legacies are also received into charity fiwds. Trust¢es. however. will not seek to generate revenue through CTowdfunding. gambling or througb deception. Trust¢¢s reserve the right to raise capital from lrnsted bodi¢s (such as banks or trust funds) on the proviso that the charity's Statement of faith. governance or practice is not compromis¢d. Investment po]iey and objectives T￿Ste¢S will ensure the safe, prudent and consenrytive investment of church funds. The ¢harity'S eihical criteria requires exclusion from the portfolio of companies n￿jorillg in gambling, alcohol or tobacco. Reserves polfcy The reserves policy enables Ebenezer Evangelical Church to fvlfil its main aims and objectives as a charity. Trustees therefore deem il to b¢ prud¢nt to maintain the charity reserves at a level representing 6 months of expenditure. Such reserv¢s will be unrestricted funds, not committed or inv¢st¢d in tangible fixed assets. At this level, Trustees deem it possible for the charity to continue with its activities in the evenl of a sudden drop in funding. Page I

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMEI¥4T Governing document The charity is controlled by its 8ov¢rning do¢um¢nt. a deed of trust and constitutes an unincoryorat¢d charity. Recruitment and appointment of new trustees Trust¢¢s must be filll members of the Church. They are elected by church n￿rnbers. Risk management The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which th¢ clwity is ¢xposed and to ensure appropriat¢ controls are Ati place to provide reasonabl¢ assuranc¢ against fraud and error.
