FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial Revlew
The Stal¢m¢nt of Financial Activities for tbe Unrestricted fvnds for the year ended 31 D¢¢¢mb¢r 2024 shows th¢r¢ w&s a
surplus of incom¢ ov¢r ¢xp¢nditur¢ amounting to £19,921 (2023- sury)lus of expenditure ov¢r in¢om¢ of £8.321). At 31
December 2024 unrestricted reserves stood at £73.384 (2023 £53,463)
Printlpal fundlng sources
Funds are primarily generated by the voluntary giving of members and adh¢r¢nts. This is achieved by bank transfers. a
freewill offering box localed at the back of the main hall or cheques passed to the Treasurer. Some of thes¢ donations
are eligible for Gift Aid to be claimed.
Occasional gifts (restricted or otherwise) are received from those with a current or historical connection with the church.
Oc¢asionally, legacies are also received into charity fiwds. Trust¢es. however. will not seek to generate revenue through
CTowdfunding. gambling or througb deception.
Trust¢¢s reserve the right to raise capital from lrnsted bodi¢s (such as banks or trust funds) on the proviso that the
charity's Statement of faith. governance or practice is not compromis¢d.
Investment po]iey and objectives
T￿Ste¢S will ensure the safe, prudent and consenrytive investment of church funds. The ¢harity'S eihical criteria requires
exclusion from the portfolio of companies n￿jorillg in gambling, alcohol or tobacco.
Reserves polfcy
The reserves policy enables Ebenezer Evangelical Church to fvlfil its main aims and objectives as a charity. Trustees
therefore deem il to b¢ prud¢nt to maintain the charity reserves at a level representing 6 months of expenditure.
Such reserv¢s will be unrestricted funds, not committed or inv¢st¢d in tangible fixed assets. At this level, Trustees deem
it possible for the charity to continue with its activities in the evenl of a sudden drop in funding.
