It is also reswnsible for the overall management of the Charity and for ensuring that Ch8rfty PolicAe5 are implemented by the staff. The Board of TNstees meets regularly and has an active role in the activities of the charity. New Trusteas are appointed by the Board of Trustees. Induction and Training of Trustees: procedures for recrUi￿n9 and training Trustees are in place. The Board of TnbStee$ aims lo ensure that its membership is appropriate to the work of Concem Wadebridge and that any new Trustees add lo the Board's diversity, skills and experien¢e. The Charity is run on a voluntary basis with the Truslees receiving no remunération for their service. Training of Trustees takes place as required. A Manager was taken on fulltime from 1st April 2016, since then changes of Staff have tsken place through resignations. Covid I1)ckdo￿l and increased requirements. The trustees continue to review the Investments of the charity which are now held in income providing Funds, a large proportion of the investments were used for the rebuilding and renovations programme. The investment is held with the CCLA- Charities Deposit Fund 31%,. Charities Investment Fund 69%. In May 2023 the Centre became a recognised 'Community Hub, by Volunteer Cornwall and this has brought extra funding providing we continue to Stsy open S days a week. At weekends and evenings the building is hir8d out lo loGal organisations for uses unrelated lo our charity's activities. the income being an important part of our income. These organi$8tion$ frequently relate to our own mark81 and includ8'. Wadebridgè Memory Café. Carerfs Groups, Church of England Services. Mentsl Health Groups, Hospice Care, Parkinson's, Stroke. F￿1 and Hearfng Care Grcvjps as wdl as private functions. We provide a number of classes lo our members rangiftg from Zumba to Tea Dances. U3A are vèry active four days a weak elther momSngs or afternoons, providing dasses such as: Computer Studies, Card Making. F￿nCh. Italian. Chess and Art, Mah-jong and Table Tennis. Improvements to all areas of the building are reviéwed regulafly to ensure that they are up to dale. meet Health and Safety regulations and ¢omply with Accessibility requirements and are mre widely available to our service groups and passing visitors. The planned major rebuilding and renovation was completed during the summèr of 2018 and has created a welcome and improved environment allO￿ng, prior and subsequent to lockdown. a posllive increase in activities and sales being achieved. The financial statem8nts have been prepared on a going concem basis under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of current asset investments. The trustees confimi that there are no material uncertainties regarding the charitys abilty to continue as a going concem. The financial slatements are prepared in stsrling, which is the functional currency of the entity. Incomlng rnsources Grants, donati¢)ns and bequests are r8cogniséd in full in the Statement of Financial Activities in the year in which they are receivable.
