Chairman’s Forward

As we continue to live through this pandemic at an international level, it continues to be a major blocker for the UK team to travel. But, thankfully for the volunteers in Malawi and the professional building contractors we have completed our largest and most successful project to date.

Having facilitated 6 remote villages with clean water, and 45 extremely needy households with a brand new house build to hopefully last, we as a team are very joyfully that all of this has been accomplished with remote communications and clear execution of instructions on the ground. A big thank you to the team and the volunteers in Malawi. We hope to hear direct feedback from the families enjoying and utilising the provided facilities when we travel to Malawi in person early 2022 hopefully.

We are further growing as an organisation and are very thankful to our donors, as without your support nothing can be achieved.

Trustee’s Report

Children of Adam Appeal was entered into the Charity Commission’s Register of Charities on 16 January 2015.

Following our assessment in August 2015 and the guidance given by the Charity Commission, we continue to develop and adapted to comply with accordance to our governing document.

The board collectively we would like to send their gratitude and appreciations to all of our volunteers who help out conducting the aid projects in Pakistan and Malawi, and not to forget the great effort made by those who update and continue to collect from the donor community.

We welcome new volunteers, who can offer their experiences, ideas, passion to help grow this organisation and still maintaining our salary free policy.

Vision

To provide relief, aid and assistance to people affected by famine, drought, flood or any other calamity/disadvantage and poverty (in particular widows and orphans, elderly and disabled) anywhere in the world irrespective of race, colour, creed or religion.

Mission

Our mission is to establish a healthy, accountable and effective charity organisation driven by our volunteering ethos with minimal overheads.

Volunteers and new Members

Membership has not increased, and we maintain 3 UK based volunteers to our register.

Activities

Malawi Housing and Water aid project successfully completed with great feedback and internal sense of achievement. Largest spend and project size to date.

Website and Social Media

Our Website, YouTube channel and Facebook page are continuously updated with our deployment information, videos and picture which allows the public to review where the funds have been used and how the organisation is helping the needy with food, water, clothing and housing.

Finance Report

During the pandemic we were unsure on how we would receive the continues support in the form of donations, but since the vast majority of our donations are known to the trustees, volunteers or friends/family of both, we have successfully received and spent the largest amount to date. The purpose is to spend and help the most unfortunate, and having accomplished this together with the team in the UK and Malawi it’s been a real achievement, concurring with that said by the Chair. Thank you all.
