Animal Canopy provides animal welfare and public benefit by supporting the dogs owned by homeless people in Bournemouth and by raising funds which are then distributed via the charity's approved grant making policy to small animal charities located in the UK (mostly local to Animal Canopy's activities) and some selected organisations abroad. Animal Canopy operates mostly in Dorset and Hampshire.

Objects: 1. To Relieve The Suffering Of Animals In Need Of Care And Attention.2. To Promote Humane Behaviour Towards Animals By Promoting The Appropriate Care, Protection, Treatment And Security For Animals Which Are In Need Of Care And Attention By Reason Of Sickness, Maltreatment, Poor Circumstances Or Ill Usage.3. To Advance The Education Of The Public In Matters Pertaining To Animal Welfare In General And The Prevention Of Cruelty And Suffering Among Animals.the CIO Shall Further These Purposes By Such Means As The Trustees Decide, Particularly By The Provision Of Grants Or Financial Support To Charities, Organisations Or Individuals Working For The Benefit Of Animals In Such Ways As Are Charitable.
