The object of the CIO is for the benefit of the public to promote co-operation in Europe and elsewhere between non-profit making professional scientific and technical societies which share among their aims advancing the science and education of the public in chemical engineering and encouraging the development of chemical engineering and any ancillary purpose the trustees may think fit
