B. Structure, governance and management

The band is governed by a constitution.

The management of the band is by committee. At the 2024/25 AGM the committee consists of seven trustees and three co-opted members.

The trustees are elected by and out of the band’s members at the Annual General Meeting. They hold office until the next Annual General Meeting and are eligible for re-election.

Co-opted committee members are not trustees of the charity and cannot vote on any financial matters.

The Musical Director attends committee meetings when appropriate and cannot vote on any financial matters.

Membership

In 2024/25 Hot Aire concert band had 72 members

This is a decrease of 12 people from 2023/24

Rehearsals

Fresh Aire! and Hot Aire! have rehearsals on Saturday morning from September to the end of July, except for Christmas and Easter.

Performances

The band gave 23 performances in a wide range of venues and audiences

Summer Tour to Germany

In July 2025 the band had a successful summer tour to the Rhinelands in Germany. 48 people attended the tour. The band stayed at the Rhinehotel Wagner in Kamp-Bornhofen for 5 nights. Performed in 3 fabulous concert venues; a beer garden; a market place and a bandstand. The group had time to explore German food and culture. The Feedback from the attendees was excellent and many wonderful memories were made for everyone involved.

The summer tour was booked and organised through Rayburn Tours.
