Activities
We provide a sustainable library service and community hub for the people of Stannington and its surrounding area, encouraging innovative use of the building and promoting lifelong learning, social and digital inclusion, and the celebration of reading.The library is staffed by volunteers. We host community groups, events and activities, and expand the book stock through grants and donations.
Objects: The Objects Of Stand Are (a) The Advancement Of Education For The Benefit Of The Public In The District Of Stannington In The City Of Sheffield And The Surrounding Area By The Provision Of A Community Lending Library And Associated Services. (b) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public In The District Of Stannington In The City Of Sheffield And The Surrounding Area Without Distinction Of Age, Disability, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Reassignment, Marital Or Civil Partnership Status, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinion, By Associating Together The Said Residents And Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interest Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Residents.
