Help Yateem has assisted this year 5 orphan schools in Somalia with their educational facilities. This includes installing our fifth ICT Room in UM- Aisha Orphan Girls School in Mogadishu. Our Ramadan Iftaar program has benefited more than 1600 orphan and needy families in poorer countries. Eid gifts for 398 Orphan Children. Eid Qurbani for orphan and needy families has helped more than 1200 families. This year we have launched a campaign using “Launch-good” donation platform for relief program for orphan and needy families in Yemen. We have received a great response from individual donors. We have created our own team to deliver the relief program and we have recently completed installing our own bakery to provide 15000 bread per day. This year we have also helped of relief program in rural Kenya refurbish Girl’s orphanage in the village. We are now helping on the building of boy’s orphanage. We have made a separate campaign on Launch-good platform and the response from individual donors are very good. We have also continued the maintenance of our existing services |

Para 1.38 | Our volunteers especially the youth have contributed a lot this year. The traditional way of collecting money during Ramadan such as mosque collection, events and other physical collection were not possible. The youth volunteers managed and made effective use of social media and other donation platforms such as Launch-good, Muslim- giving and Just giving. They also helped improving our website. We also had our own volunteers on the countries we were supporting especially Somalia, Kenya and Yemen. |

Para 1.20 | Our educational facilities programs are bearing more fruits. For example, the government after a long period, has now introduced standardised exam foe all schools in the country. They have also included ICT as a core subject. Our ICT rooms will equip the orphan schools we helped to do well in their exams. Our Ramadan and Eid program have helped many orphan families in many poor counties. As the schools are closed during Ramadan and they will not have the food they used to get from the schools they attended. Our relief program in Yemen has benefited many orphan and needy families in Yemen. Our assistance in Al Waalideyn Girl’s Orphanage and the assistance of building of Al Waalideyn boy’s orphanage will improve the lives of 400 orphan children in Kenya with their education, health and shelter. |

Para 1.22 | Help Yateem policy is to have a healthy balance on unrestricted funds for three to six months to cover the running costs of the schools we assist in educational facilities as well as the admin cost necessary to maintain our website and resource generating activities. We managed not to overdraw throughout the year. Our aim is to buy land in Somalia to set up an orphanage with school and other facilities. We have been advised to first apply for free land from the government to set up this good cause. We have requested that and waiting for a response. If that does not become successful, we will search a good land **that is value for money. ** |
