| An Annual General Meeting for 2019-2020was held on ge December 2020. |

| BWRC maintained an associate membership for individuals, who received our newsletter The Rehabilitator and reduced rate symposium tickets. There were 42 individual associate members during financial year 2020-21. |

| Free advice continues to be provided by BWRC trustees and volunteers in response to specific queries from the public via the BWRC website and Facebook page. |

| Summary ofthe main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory BWRC held our first virtual annual symposium via Zoom on 21" November 2020. The symposium was attended by 87delegates plus speakers alongside nine speakers and trustees and helpers from Writtle college staff who chaired and assisted with text chat management. | A "Joint statement on the captive breeding ofhedgehogs in response to population decline" was written by BWRC in collaboration with the British Veterinary Zoological Society (BVZS), British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) and others. This was written in response to rumours that some organisations had plans to start breeding programmes and argues against that strategy at this time. Other organisations including BWRC associate members have been invited to co-sign to indicate their support for this policy which was first published online on 1"March 2021. |

| BWRC recorded a 20minute lecture to introduce a series ofnine mini- lectures aimed at veterinary and other students on the principles of wildlife rehabilitation. This was a collaborative project lead by the Bom Free Foundation and the recordings have been published on their website (and will be added to ours when possible). |

| A collaboration with Writtle University College has begun to develop a national wildlife rehabilitation database. This project aims to provide data for research into improving wildlife rehabilitation practice in the UK. |

| ~ Supporting letters were offered (and provided) to any rehabilitators who were nervous about making journeys to release casualties during lockdown, explaining the purpose and animal welfare justification for their activities. |
