To benefit the residents of Lisvane and the neighbouthood, without distinction of sex, sexual orienlation, ra￿ or of political. religious or other opinions by associating togelher the said residents and the local authorities. voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interesls of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. The Trustees hire facilits'es to around 20+ drfferent groups for activities available to residents of Lisvane and the neighbourhood. These include a community library, photography group, computer group, an education initiative for dyslexic children. parent and toddler group5, exercise dasses. dance groups for children, yoga. accommodation for volunteers who work in environmental groups, and casual bookings for children's birthday parties etc. The facilities are also used by the Lisvane Community Council. Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit> In carying out these activities, the Twstees had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. They believe that the wide range of social, recreational and educational activities taking place in the centre, combined with the relatively low rents charged and the fact that the centre is available to all who wish to use it are consistent with the public benefit requirement. Following substantial redevelopment of the building in 2021, the centre re-opened to the public in February 2022 with an official opening event in May 2022. Since then the centre has been a very busy focal point of the communty. Part of the building has been sublet to a café which is open to the public 7 days a week.
