The advancement of such other purpose as are charitable in accordance with English law. The charity's sole activity is to link individuals who want to with those who have a need. The individuals who want to give are generally church goers or those who have links with the church. The charity takes referrals for those who have a need from other registered charities or ststutory bodies. Those who want to give do so in four ways. They give their time, money, skills or items. The main activity of the charity centres on those giving time and those giving items. Those who give items have them collected from them by Besom volunteers. The volunteers then drop off the items at the home of the person who needs it. To enable the above activities. the charity has a van, and a Wahouse space, which is a kindly loaned by a local charity. The trustees have regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission when exercising any powers to which the guidance would be relevant. The charity does this by limiting its activities to those detailed above. which have been established as being for the public benefit through the registration of the charity and the registrations of others Besoms around the country, and by only taking referrals from statutory bodies and other registered charities. The charity only takes referrals from ststutory bodies and other registered charities so that the trustees are satisfied that ongoing support is available to those who have a need and that the activity undertaken is of public benefit. The charity's services are open to all those who want to give regardless of religious belief and to anyone who has a need that is referred by a registered charity or statutory body. Section D Achievements and performance The charity continued to build on the success of last year. The charity has built on relationships with local churches and representatives of the charity spoke at a number of churches across the area. Regular prayer evenings were held. These events We well attended and have increased participation with the charity. The weekly van rnn continued to be run by a team of committed volunteers. Each week. they pick up donated fumiture and drop it off with those who need it. The charity has also had success in terms of fundraising.
