AGM STANLEY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION SECRETARYS REPORT 2024 th 18 September 2025 Good Evening, Thank you for coming to the AGM of Stanley Communlty Association. The centre has continued to growthls year, with more bookings and a great deal of Interest shown from sever8L organisatlons as to what we can offer. The feedback w8 get from our users is always posltive. We contlnue to promote a good community spirlt and support smaller org8nisationsigroups as much as we can as The Venue Is 8 hub for everyone to enjoy. The bulldlng Is well maintained and presented and that's down to the dedlcated volunteers. The gym continues to increase in membership and Is well supported. It still remains incredible V81ue for money at only £10 per month, this we hope encourages those on restricted Incomes to Still enloy the f8cllity and keep Eood health. We have Invested In new office furnlture and decorated several rooms in order to create a better working environment for both the volunteers and user groups. Further investment has been made to the gym area to offer more variety of equipment. I would partlcularly like to thankwilliam Wilkinson. Donna Readmond and Karl Mawson for thelr dedicatlon to The Venue and their support, and l also would like to thank all volunteers who have helped and supported them overthe last year. A big thankyou to the Trustees for thelr dedicatlon. Thankyou. Mrs A. Wilklnson Secretary.

AGM STANLEY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION TREASURERS REPORT 2024 TH 18 September 2025 Introductlon I delighted to report that the center has had another very successful year. We continue to invest In both the center and staff where we can see benefits of both. It has been a trying ye8r with changes to the banking system, as laid out in the Barclay's Bank section of this report. We continue to work in a challenglng environment, with the cost of living rises, pushlng up the operational costs of the bullding, however, due to prudent measures and implementlng new strategies to save moneythe center along with incre8sed US8ge/bookings has managed to continue to operate under these diff Icult times. 2024 Overvlew The surplus deficit for the year was up by £5,576 from 2023. There is a noticeable decrease in the payments out which is a slgnificantfall from the previous year. This Is contrlbuted to both the inst811ation of th8 LED lightlng and improved procurernent. Barclays Bank As reported at18St years meeting Barclays have closed allthe local branches In the area and moved thelr deposltlwlthdrawal services to the Post Office. This has crested some issues around the depositing of monles due to the Ilmltations set by the Post Office. I wlll explore other 8venues of how we can d8POSIt18rge amounts of money as It Is not prudent to have to much cash on the premises, even though it is held In a Safe. The most signlficant and improved servlce from Barclays has come in the form of a debit card which has made paying of Snvolces and m8klng other purchases a great deal better. We no longer have to rely on members of the team to pay for goods by usingthelr personal bank card then claim the money back through the cash system, Thls Is a much Improved way of conducting flnancl81 transactions and is fulLytransparent. Appolntment of Independent Examlners I would like to propose that we continue to avail the services of B. Straughan as Independent examiners, for 2024. Acknowledgments I would like to than all the volunteers and staff at the center for their continued support in assistlng me wlth my day to d8y duties as Treasurer. Concluslon Ovorall it has been a very successful yearfor the center. The Venue contlnues to be a malor communlty hub, supporting a wide v8rlety of groups, organisation's and events. Bookingg have gone from strength to strength enabling the bullding to continue to be a viable asset to the aree. Mr. W. Wilkinson Treasurer
