The Charity supports young people from across the borough from areas of deprivation to engage, achieve, aspire and develop.

Developing children’s capabilities and supporting them in the achievement of academic and social ambitions, especially, but not exclusively, through leisure time activities, to support them in growing to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

This is achieved by receiving unrestricted donations from Albany Products Limited.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The charity has continued to further the education and development of young children in the Rochdale area by providing educational and leisure time activities.

Since incorporation, the charity has worked with local high schools to support young people not engaging or achieving as well as they could through no fault of their own. Following engagement with two new school partners, the plan mentioned last year to engage with more schools has been developed with the aim to support upto 10 secondary schools across the borough (circa 100 young people).

This has involved an addition to the team in January and further additions in order to deliver from September. January to August has been a period of review and development which has included upgrades and development to the Farewell (our base building), liaison with new partners to develop relationships and a network along with infrastructure to support it and the increased volume of future attendees.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 08 / 2024.

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
