There is an annual skittle match between ttE vanous groups. In addttion. various fiiness and crafts tutor-led activrties make regular use of the hall. These indude yoga, pilates, meditation. zumba, hula hoop, walking football, circurt training, cane weaving and art. There is also a monthly Book Exchange which brsngs the various ger￿rationS together for refreshments and a good chat. Any proffts go to charity. The hall is also used for badminton, children's and adults, parties, functions and fund-raisin events.

Broadhempston Prrmary School is a s￿n￿Gant user throughout the year. As well as using the sports hall for acttve lessons and physical education, they also use the hall and krtchen fa¢ilrties on a daily ba51S to provide hot lunches. The Trust also maintains the Headlands playing field to provide facilities for football, tennis and various communty outdoor re￿atIonal adivities, including a mini skate- board ramp. The school uses the field for regular PE sessions. games and for inter- school sports festNals. There is also an annual Village Fete on the playing fi8ld organised by the CIO'S Fete Committee. This also rais88 money usèd to distribute small grants at the request of organisab'ons in the vicinity. Due to an extreme shortage of members thi8 year. the Fete Commtttee was unable to organise the usual Annual Fete, normally held on the Headlands Playing Field. Instead, a temF)orary committee was created, a successful èvent was still h8kl and a ca8h surplus raised of £7745. When planning activities for the y8ar, Ihe Truste8s have considered the Commission'8 guidance on public benefft and have tried to the extent possible to encourage all members of our communty, young and old, regardless of background, to make u8e of the various organisations using the facilities provided by the hall and playing field. Achievements and Performance This year has seen a gradual return to nonnality after the disruptions suffered because of Covid-19 in pr8vious years. Village Hall users are still encouraged to follow some of the Covid-19 best-practices, such as keeping rooms vRII-ventilated and using harvj-sanrtiser when entering the building. The hall continues to provide spacious, attractive modem mu￿1-pUrpose facilities for the residents on BroadheM￿ton. All regular activitie6 at the Village Hall have restarted. There y￿re also successful jazz evenings organised by some of th8 Trustees during the year. The Trust underwrote these events and all did better than break evèn. These offered an enjoyable nights out at an affordable price for residents and those from further afiekl. The playing fiekl has been well-maintained and is well-used by residents, including dog- walkers. The tennis ￿urt has woven very popular, with the number of us8r8 increasing 8bgnificantly after Covid lockdowns. The local football team also u8e$ the field for home matches and for these past 4 years another local junior football team has a180 used the fiekl for its home matches. The Trustees have acted to maintain the Village Hall to a high standard to ensure the facilities offer something for the widest audience. A sub-committee has looked at options to resurface and totally refurbish the tenni8 court. induding new perimeter fencing. The Trustees have therefore decided that the whole of this amount should be contributed to the tennis court refurtmshment.
