Section C Objectives and activities

1) The relief of physical and mental sickness of persons of the Sikh community in the UK that are in need by reason of addiction to alcohol and drugs, and, to provide counselling and support to the victims and their families.

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

2) To promote for the benefit of the Sikh community in the UK the provision of services for mediation for victims of crime, with a view to help them get their life back on track.

3) To preserve and protect the good health both mental and physical of parents, young people and children of the Sikh community in the UK and to prevent the financial hardship, caused by unwanted conception;

(ii) To educate the community in the field of procreation, contraception, and health with particular reference to personal responsibility in sexual relationships and to the consequences of population growth.

The charity has strengthened its engagement and collaboration with Gurdwaras (Sikh places of worship). We have conducted multiple visits, delivering seminars on protecting children in vulnerable situations and promoting a positive approach to sexual health.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Additionally, we have delivered two in-depth courses, each spanning 8 to 10 days, focused on parental guidance. These sessions aimed to equip parents with the tools to foster healthier interpersonal relationships and improve communication within families.

To enhance our outreach, we have also been working on a social media revamp, exploring various platforms and strategies to expand our reach and engagement.

My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.
