CBI is an international not-for-profit which promotes the development of climate bonds. It aims to raise awareness about the existence and benefits of climate bonds and promote investments in them; proposes standards that establish what a green bond is, helping identify and label green bonds so that they may be recognized as such
Objects: The Company’s Objects (“Objects”) Are Specifically Restricted To The Preservation And Conservation Of The Environment For The Public Benefit, In Particular But Not Exclusively By:a) Serving As A Catalyst To Mobilise The Global Investment Required In Developing And Developed Countries To Address The Threat Of Catastrophic Climate Change;b) Working To Align Government Policy, Industry Development And Institutional Finance Toward The Timely And Affordable Deployment Of A Global Low Carbon Economy; Andc) Ensuring The Environmental Credibility Of Debt Issuance And Investment.
